Pacific Raceways Welcomes New Drag Strip Manager
Pacific Raceways welcomes their newest employee, Chris McMahan to the Pacific Raceways team.
Chris McMahan has been hired as the Drag Strip Manager at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA. With an extensive background in the industry beginning as a teen crew member in the Pro Modified class to being the Operations/Drag Strip Manager at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL for five years, Chris brings a wide range of qualifications to Pacific Raceways.
With the season getting underway Chris has already taken on his new role at Pacific Raceways. “Chris has been a great addition to the facility. He’s done a great job getting everything organized for the start of the 2009 season. With scheduling meetings with the crew, looking over the schedule, and giving us a brief overview of what direction he would like to take after the 2009 season, we are very excited to have him on board” said Marketing Director Tracie Brandenburg.
Heading into the 2009 season with 12 ET Bracket races, the Lucas Oil Divisional, PINKS All Out, NHRA Nationals, and the Pacific Northwest Sportsman Nationals, we at Pacific Raceways are eager to get the season underway and make the 2009 season a successful one!

II couldn't disagree more with 1Badbird on the npsa site in regards to Tracy and the attitude and behavior I got from him my last year as a CCCA officer.
Honestly I think that his (McMahan) failure to commit to more than the opener is just smart on his part until he has a full grasp of his whole schedule. Honestly wouldn't make sense to shut out a series that brings in money and realistically creates no more overhead than they already have. At least that is the case with CCCA, I'm not sure about how NPSA works in comparision of payouts and other burden on the track. _________________ RC Mitchell
